If you’ve been Googling “how much does Invisalign cost in the UK?”—you’re not alone. It’s the single most common question we hear at Kissdental, and honestly, it deserves a proper answer rather than the vague “it depends” that most dental websites offer.
So here it is, straight: Invisalign in the UK typically costs between £2,500 and £5,500 for most patients in 2026. At Kissdental, our Invisalign treatments start from £2,950, with flexible finance options available to spread the cost. Your exact price depends on how complex your case is, how long treatment takes, and what’s included in your package—all of which we’ll break down below.
But cost is only half the story. What matters is whether you’re getting genuine value—and whether cheaper alternatives might actually cost you more in the long run.
Invisalign isn’t a one-size-fits-all product, and the price reflects that. Two patients sitting in the same waiting room at our Manchester City Centre clinic could receive quotes thousands of pounds apart—and both quotes would be completely fair. Here’s why.
Minor crowding on your front teeth? That’s a simpler case requiring fewer aligners, fewer appointments, and a shorter treatment window. Six months, maybe nine. The cost sits at the lower end of the scale.
But if you’ve got a significant overbite, rotated premolars, gaps and crowding, or a crossbite that’s been bothering you for years—that’s a different proposition entirely. More aligners. More refinement stages. More clinical oversight. And yes, a higher price tag. Dr Omid Dashtgard, who has a special interest in orthodontics and has completed hundreds of orthodontic cases at Kissdental, sees this full spectrum daily.
Invisalign cases typically run anywhere from 6 to 24 months. Shorter treatments need fewer aligner trays and fewer check-up appointments, so they cost less. A 6-month case for mild crowding is a fundamentally different treatment than a 20-month case involving bite correction—and the pricing reflects that reality.
This is where many patients get caught out. A clinic quoting £1,999 for Invisalign might sound like a bargain—until you discover that retainers, refinement aligners, and follow-up appointments are all charged separately. Suddenly that “cheap” quote is £4,000+.
At Kissdental, our Invisalign price includes:
No hidden extras. No surprise invoices halfway through.
An Invisalign Diamond Provider who’s completed thousands of cases will typically charge more than a dentist who places a handful of cases per year. You’re paying for expertise, and with orthodontics, experience genuinely matters. Poorly planned Invisalign can leave you with a result that looks straight from the front but doesn’t actually bite together properly.
Dr Khushal Morar, whose expertise spans cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign and who was mentored by Kissdental founder Dr Kailesh Solanki, has seen plenty of patients who’ve come in for correction after budget Invisalign went wrong elsewhere. Getting it right the first time is almost always cheaper than fixing it afterwards.
Invisalign isn’t the only way to straighten teeth. Here’s how the main options compare on price in the UK for 2026:
The right choice isn’t always the cheapest. If you’re a professional who’d rather not have visible brackets for 18 months, the premium for Invisalign makes complete sense. If budget is your absolute priority and you don’t mind metal brackets, traditional braces are hard to beat on value.
You’ve probably seen adverts for direct-to-consumer aligner companies offering teeth straightening from £1,000–£1,500. Tempting. But there’s a reason the British Dental Association and the General Dental Council have raised concerns about these services.
With Invisalign at a dental practice, you get:
DIY aligners skip most of this. No X-rays. No in-person examination. Remote monitoring at best. For mild cosmetic cases, some patients get acceptable results. But when things go wrong—and they do—the cost of fixing the damage often exceeds what proper Invisalign would have cost in the first place.
We’d always rather you chose a supervised option. Even if it’s not with us.
Spending several thousand pounds in one go isn’t realistic for most people. We get it. That’s why Kissdental offers flexible finance options to make Invisalign genuinely accessible:
On a typical Invisalign case costing £3,500, that works out at roughly £292 per month over 12 months interest-free. Less than many people spend on their monthly phone contract and gym membership combined.
We discuss all payment options during your free consultation. No pressure. No judgement. Just honest information so you can make the best decision for your budget.
Genuinely? For most adults, yes.
Here’s our honest take, having treated thousands of Invisalign patients across our Altrincham, Knutsford, Alderley Edge, Liverpool, and Bury clinics: the patients who invest in Invisalign almost universally say it was one of the best decisions they’ve made. Not because the treatment itself is glamorous—wearing plastic trays for 22 hours a day isn’t exactly thrilling—but because the results are permanent and the confidence boost is real.
Straighter teeth aren’t just about aesthetics, either. Properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, less prone to decay and gum disease, and distribute biting forces more evenly—which means less wear and fewer dental problems down the line. So whilst you’re paying for cosmetic improvement upfront, you’re potentially saving on restorative work for decades.
That said, Invisalign isn’t right for everyone. If your teeth only need minor cosmetic improvement, composite bonding might achieve a similar visual result for less. If your bite is severely misaligned, traditional braces or even jaw surgery might be more appropriate. Dr Morar and Dr Dashtgard will always recommend what’s genuinely best for your situation—not what costs the most.
No. Invisalign is considered a cosmetic treatment and isn’t available through the NHS. Traditional fixed braces may be available on the NHS for severe orthodontic cases (typically in children and young adults), but clear aligners are private treatment only.
Check what’s included. A lower headline price often means retainers, refinements, or follow-up appointments are charged separately. Always ask for a full breakdown before comparing quotes. The cheapest initial price isn’t always the cheapest total cost.
On 0% interest-free finance over 12 months, a £2,950 case would cost approximately £246 per month. A £4,500 case would be around £375 per month. Extended finance over 24 months reduces monthly payments further, though interest may apply.
For simple cases, Invisalign costs roughly the same as ceramic braces and slightly more than metal braces. For complex cases, Invisalign can be more expensive—but many adults consider the discreet appearance and convenience well worth the premium.
Talk to us. Between our finance options and flexible deposit arrangements, we can usually find a way to make treatment work for your budget. We’d rather help you access proper supervised treatment than see you turn to unsupervised DIY alternatives.
At Kissdental, Vivera retainers are included in your Invisalign package price. Some clinics charge £300–£500 for retainers on top of the treatment cost, so this is worth checking when comparing quotes.
The best way to find out exactly what Invisalign will cost for your specific case is a proper clinical assessment. At Kissdental, your initial consultation is free—we’ll examine your teeth, take digital scans, show you a 3D preview of your potential results, and give you a personalised quote with all costs clearly explained.
No obligation. No hard sell. Just honest answers from clinicians who’ve straightened thousands of smiles across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and Liverpool.
